thayne wheeler Thayne has owned and operated a portrait photography studio for three years in Rexburg, Idaho. Not only is he an award winning photographer, but he is also experienced and educated in film directing, design and illustration! Prior to his experience in the portrait photography world, he worked for Jay P Morgan, a respected commercial photographer in Los Angeles, assisting in photo & video shoots of automobiles, models and products. He also is a freelance designer and illustrator working with such clients as Excel Entertainment, Deseret Book and the Los Angeles Zoo. Thayne has years of experience in the academic field; teaching in colleges and universities such as California State University, Los Angeles, Art Center College of Design, and Glendale College. He has taught art & design, Adobe & Apple software, human anatomy & figure drawing, web design and Photoshop. Thayne was nominated for the Distinguished Faculty Award at Glendale College where he taught for three years. He has received both his Masters and Bachelors of Fine Art from the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He also has his Associates from Ricks College, now BYU-Idaho. He has exhibited his work in California, Idaho, Wyoming and as of recent, in the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls. Thayne has been awarded the Kodak Award for Photographic Excellence in Digital Imaging and the Professional Photographers of Idaho Award for First Place in Electronic Imaging.
